Jack Knight – Made In China “Jack Daniels”

When one travels to China, there are many wonders to be seen, but none are dearer to a Jack Daniel’s fan than its bastard brother, Jack Knight.

When one travels to China, there are many wonders to be seen, but none are dearer to a Jack Daniel’s fan than its bastard brother, Jack Knight. The pictures below showcase the delightful concoction in its original capsule, and leave little to be said. Unfortunately, a proper review cant be found – perhaps brave drinkers somehow lost their ability to express thoughts after tasting Mr. Knight – but good ol’ Reddit comes to help with some context:

A potential review:

Appearance: cirrhotic-liver’d urine
Nose: Melamine
Taste: Tastes like child workers’ dreams and censorship
Finish: It’s two weeks later and I can’t get the taste out of my mouth. Suicide has become an option.

But I’m just curious as to how they got such a rich color. Must have been aged in some special lead-lined barrels.

And a sensible overview from /u/sberder gives some much needed context into China’s knock-off liquor issues:

Knock off alcohol is a huge problem here in Shanghai (and China). I had many a discussion about that with wholesale companies or club owners, even a friend of mine who is quite a renowned whisky speialist in Asia now (Stephen Notman). Anyway, I would not put that in my system, this is a guaranteed hangover and your body could have unexpected reactions.

And to quote our good friend Jeremy Clarkson:

Apparently the term copyright infringement doesn’t translate well into mandarin.
