Last time we talked about Chocolate Russian Roulette the product (appropriately called Bite The Bullet) was completely out of stock. Thanks to popular demand, Firebox brought it back, this time with an even stronger pepper extract – a concentrated 1 Million Scoville extract.
To give you an idea how hot that is, the (in)famous Habanero and Scotch Bonnet peppers reach only ~350,000 in the Scoville scale:
Instant Regret Chocolate Roulette
The smart folks at Firebox, the ones behind the original Bite The Bullet game, listened to our cries (literally) and brought back the game that is so dearly enjoyed by preparation H salespeople. And they’re not kidding – this the first bullet on their site:
CAUTION: Chocolate contains extreme quantities of chilli and is not suitable for children, pets or the elderly.
How exactly does it work, then? There are 11 bullets in all, 10 milk and one searingly hot Instant Regret Chilli beast. Take turns eating a randomly selected cartridge and pray that you are not the tortured soul who sinks their teeth into a fiery oblivion.
Let’s see how folks fared with it (apologies for the annoying vertical video):
help cure ppl with vertical camera syndrome. We can beat this!
So… exactly how painful is this new version?
1 Million Scoville Concentrated Pepper Extract
If you’re thinking ‘how hot can that little chocolate really be?‘, watch the couple below as they try a little drop of the extract used to make the Instant Regret Chocolate Roulette:
Firebox’s Thought of it all
If you’re lucky enough to draw the scorching hot chocolate on the first try, you may have the game beaten, right? Well, along with a hotter pepper, Firebox also included an additional “regret” bullet in this new version. You know, there has to be enough fun to go around.
Here at Whiskying, we havent tried this new version yet, but we’re considering an even more interesting version of this challenge – for each bullet you bite, you take a shot of your favorite brown liquor, regardless of spiciness. Up for it? Let us know what would you be drinking in the comments.
