Aged in Burbon and Masala casks purchased Willow Park Wines, Calgary, AB $120

Amber, honey
Alcohol, fruit, dried apricot
Sea spray, leather, berries
Smoke up front, currents, pepper
Iodine, peat, caramel, pepper, honey
peppery, bacon With water: pepper, fruity (berries), vanilla, subtle smoke
Overall this is a fantastic whisky. It goes for a premium price but for a limited bottling of this quality I for one believe it’s worth it.
Against the 10 yo it feels very well finished and the maturity smoothes it out very well. I’d highly recommend picking up a bottle if you can find it before they all disappear.
